About us

We who owns this kennel is Ann-Louise Oskarsson & Tony Hedenstedt. We live in Lillpite, about 20 kilometers from Piteå, in the North of Sweden. We have been living there from the end of June 2004. In the end of August 1997 we moved from Gällivare to Piteå with one collie and two horses.

I (Ann-Louise) have had animals all of my life, for example dogs, cats, birds and horses. When I was 14  I bought my first rough collie, so I have been having that breed for half of my life. I have also had other breeds, mostly mixed breeds.
Tony is raised with dogs, German Shepard and some other breedings too. He have been living in Liberia, Africa, with his family for some years. There they had got a tame monkey. 

Our goal is to breed collies who are strong mentally, with good health and with the "right" collie look.

That's why we want so many as possible to go a mentally test (MH) with the dog and that all dogs from us will be X-rayed for Hips when the dog is over 1 year. Until today we have breed 35 dogs who are over 1 year.
22 have gone a mentally test (MH) and 35 are X-rayed, 31 is free. Some of them are also checked the elbows. Everyone from our breeding has checked their hips. A lot of them has also been checked their eyes as adults. That we are very proud of. 

We also reward our buyers so that they X-rays their dogs. If they send a copy of the Certificate to us, we'll pay back 500 SEK.

Nobody but we will be happier if those who have a collie from us are interested to compete in obedience or working class or shows them at dog shows, it's you who makes our breeding to be seen.

About our dogs.

I (Ann-Louise) bought my first rough collie in November 1990 from Top-Trade's kennel in Koskullskulle, about 15 kilometers from Gällivare. That dog was "Jonathan". He would have been 13 years in August 2003 but he died in the end of July 2003. "Jonathan" got one puppy, when he was 11 years old, it was the first time he mated a bitch. WHAT A DOG.

In February 1998 we got "Alfa", also from Top-Trade's kennel. That's when the plans of breeding started, but we waited a little while more, Alfa was still in her breeders own, so we didn't have any own bitch. Later on we bought her from her breeder.

In December 1999 we bought "Wilma", also from Top-Trade's kennel. When she was 1 year old we decided us to take a breeding name. We applied for and got the name "Top-Fashion's".
"Wilma" was the first bitch to have a litter, that was in January 2001. The father was a sabledog, Mirabackens Prisoner Of Love "Prisse".

In "Alfas" first litter it only was one puppy, a bitch named "Xena", who of course stayed at the kennel.

In February 2003 "Ares", also from Top-Trade's kennel, entered our life. He is a lovely, playful boy. He did the Swedish MH with exellent result and secure to shots.

From Alfa's second litter we kept one sable bitch and one tricolor dog, they are not living at the kennel. The bitch we have full breeding right to and the male we share ownership with Åsa Engström, but we have the breeding right to him. In January 2008 he moved back into the kennel. Now he lives at a friend, but we still own him.

In april 2003 we bought our first smooth collie. He was forced to move from his home at the age of ten months. His name is "Karo" and he comes from Fairlines kennel in Vretstorp. Karo has gone very well at shows. For example he has got 8 CC's, 2 CACIB's, many CC-quality, several BOS and BOB. He has also some BIS-placement and BIG-placement. Sadly he died in August 2008 because of an injury in his front leg.

From Wilmas second litter we kept "Cindy", who got to go to sleep all to sudden. She only became two years old. She were shown in dogshows with CC and she had grade A on her hips. Cindy was Mentally tested (MH) with exellent result and secure to shots.

In november 2003 we bought our second smooth collie. This time it was a bitch "Lexie", also from
Fairlines kennel. Lexie has gone very well at shows. For example she has got 5 CC's, 2 CACIB's, many CC-quality, several BOS and BOB. She has also BIS-placement.

From Wilmas third litter we kept a male "Douglas" and a bitch "Donna" at the kennel. They are so wounderful. Both are shown in junior class with 1:st prices. They both also got CC-quality on their first show in junior class, 9 months and 4 days old, in Gällivare for judge Yvonne Brink. Douglas has also got 2 CC and BOS.

In June 2005 came a new bitchpuppy "Jackie" to us. We bought her from Callahorn's kennel in Stockholm. She is a lovely and playful girl. With her we have got all new blood into our breeding. We have high hopes for her and hopes she will be good so that we can mate her with our own breed males.
Jackie was sold in November 2006, because she has illness in her relatives.

From Wilmas fourth litter we kept a male "Heffa" and a bitch "Wendie". Heffa is living with us at the kennel and Wendie we sold with breeding terms. They are so wounderful. Both are shown in junior class with CC-quality and best male-best bitch place. We are having high hopes for the two of them.
Heffa has also got CC at dogshow.

From "Xenas" first and only litter we kept both of the puppies. Both of them are sold with breeding terms. In the end of April 2008 one of the girls, Nike came back to the kennel because she who had her couldn't keep her. In May 2008 we bought back the other girl, Hera. Both of them are now living with us here at the kennel.

In December 2006 we went to Chezh and came home with a tricolored smooth male by name Avallon Bila Kaifa "Dennis". With him we have got very much new blood into our breeding. We have high hopes for him and hopes he will be good so that we can mate her with our own bitches in the future.
Thank You Dita for letting us have Dennis. Dennis is the father of our first smooth litter.

In February 2007 a smooth tricolored bitch by name Astolat's Castánea Canina "Enya" came in to our life. We have high hopes for this little darling and hopefully she is as good in all the ways that she is now as a puppy.

She is the mother of our first smooth litter born January 2009.

In September 2008 a sable rough adult bitch moved to us. We bought her from Lammgardens kennel. Her name is Coldwind's Ariona-Amaretto "Ariona". We will try to mate her in 2009, male is not decided yet.

From Enya's litter we will keep one or two girls. The future will tell.
